COURSE MAPS
Deets on the course

This event will start and finish at the beach shelter house of Lake Hope State Park. The course will follow a 3.45 mile trail around Lake Hope, then cross the street into Zaleski State Forest. You will do a 9.9 mile loop in Zaleski, then head back around Lake Hope to the shelter house again. This is one loop. You will repeat this 2 or 3 times depending on the distance you sign up for. If you are doing the out and back only or adding onto the end of your 3 loops, you will run the 3.45 mile Lake Hope Trail out... and then back again.

We will have printed out and marked course maps on site for anyone who needs them. The OUT AND BACK course is from X to X on the map above and back again. If you are going longer you will exit Lake Hope Forest, run through a field where you will find bathrooms and and aid station. Then you will CROSS THE ROAD FIRST and then turn right on the road, run a few hundred feet against traffic until you see the entrance on your left for Zaleski Backpack trail. This will start you on your 9.9 mile loop through Zaleski. There will be vault toilets at every camp site. You will have 1 aid station located on Kings Hallow Rd, approx 10-11 miles in. There will be water, tang and snack food items here. This aid station may not be manned. PLEASE HAVE YOUR OWN HYDRATION ITEMS TO FILL UP.
Then you will exit the loop, CROSS THE ROAD FIRST, turn right and re-enter Lake Hope. You will find a fully supported aid station at the start with water, sports drink, hot foot and snacks as well as bathrooms and a fire to warm up.
Driving directions to the park and to the start

Google maps provides a GREAT way to get yourself from your house to Lake Hope State Park Lodge. But once you get to the park you will see brown signs. DON'T go to the lodge. Once you are on 278 (the road with all the brown signs) Follow the signs for BEACH. If you are coming fro the north, you will pass the Iron Furnace, and the beach will be the next road. If you are coming from the south, the beach will be before. When you turn into the BEACH entrance, follow the signs and the road to stay right. You will see the beach house on your right side. Keep driving and you will see an open shelter on your right. This is the race start!

PARKING

Parking will depend on when you get there. There is a little bit of parking near the open shelter we will be at. If that is full turn around and you will see another lot. If that is full go back to the beach and you will see additional parking here!

WE ALWAYS ENCOURAGE CAR POOLING.

IT WILL BE DARK WHEN YOU ARRIVE! PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
